I have returned your scavenger hunt practice which should be helpful to study for your Thursday assessment. Tomorrow you will need to correct the blue card activity that you did with your partner. We will review for the assessment and continue with triangle proofs. Friday, we will begin working with quadrilaterals. Attached are good study materials.
We are preparing for our assessment on Thursday. You should be studying the 5 ways to prove triangles are congruent and how to complete a geometric proof. The attached files have lots of practice for your study guides.
Please use your textbook to practice congruence. You will find many examples in Unit 5. Test prep questions found at the end of each section are especially good practice for the EOC. We will be completing a scavenger hunt using triangle congruence in class. Groups will be working together to complete a card activity. On Friday we will work on learning how to prove these postulates/theorems.
This week we are determining if two triangles are congruent by using the 5 postulates/theorems introduced on Friday. We will be applying these 5 methods and using them to complete EOC style questions.
Today we reviewed dilations, the three similarity theorems: (1) angle angle, (2) side side side, and (3) side angle side and proportionality theorems. We worked in groups and presented practice problems. We will begin triangle congruence theorems after our assessment.
Problem solving applications are attached to help you prepare for an assessment on Thursday.
