This week we are studying the vocabulary of circles, tangent theorems of circles, central and inscribed angles of circles and major vs. minor arcs. Please place the circles foldable in your INB.
We are reviewing and testing today on right triangle trig. Our new circle unit begins on Friday.
You will find the review that is quite similar to your test on Thursday attached.
We will complete our project/task and begin presentations today.
We will work in groups of 2 or 3 to complete an in class project. Students will work together to apply their knowledge of trig functions and will present their project in class on Friday. Expect a short quiz by Friday.
Marked notes attached for finding sides and angles. We will complete angles of elevation and depression problems today. Expect a quiz by Wednesday. Your group task/test will begin on Thursday in class. Problem Solving 10-1 and 10-2 will help you on the EOC.
Notes and practice problems are found below. The problem solving practice in your workbook will be very helpful for applications of trigonometry. Angles of elevation and depression are widely used in many fields such as air traffic control, theatre/movies, and in ocean exploration with submarines.
We will complete our study of parallelograms and quiz today. Most of the classwork is not electronically available. Please see me if you are absent. Your textbook is a good resource for this topic. We will begin studying trigonometry on Thursday.
